HISTORY OF THE ROSETTES
In 2019, the 1st line of the Johnson Rosettes was established under the direction of Mrs. Brooke Lowden. Mrs. Lowden
was a Kilgore College Rangerette, where she served as an officer and was a member of the Swingsters.
Following her time at Kilgore, Mrs. Lowden attended and graduated from Texas State University.

The 1st line and Mrs. Lowden immediately began to lay the foundation for this program, taking inspiration from the
team motto: "One Spirit, One Team, One Dream". They decided to call themselves "Rosettes", because the
spots on a Jaguar's coat are called "Rosettes" and the school mascot is a Jaguar. .
In the first two years, the Rosettes have brought home back-to-back Grand Champion titles
at the Varsity level, as well as many other awards and recognitions.

In the 2021-2022 season, the Rosettes earned 2nd place overall at Nationals when they traveled to
Honolulu. Hawaii.

For the 2023-2024 season, the Rosettes will take on another first when they travel to
Orlando, FL., in February to compete and represent Buda, Texas on the national stage again!
