Meet the Director

Mrs. Brooke Lowden grew up in Austin, Texas and began dancing at the age of ten.  She attended James Bowie High School and was on the Silver Stars Drill Team for three years. Her Senior year she served as Captain of the Silver Stars.  

After high school Mrs. Lowden attended Kilgore College and was a member of the Kilgore Rangerettes.  She served as Head Swingster and Left End Lieutenant for the Rangerettes.  Following Kilgore, Mrs. Lowden enrolled at Texas State University as a dance education major.  After graduating from Texas State University with her BFA in Dance Education, Mrs. Lowden began teaching dance at Akins High School in AISD.  

 

In 2004 Mrs. Lowden opened her own dance studio, Brooke Lowden’s School of Dance in Kyle, Texas. She was the owner and dance director of the studio for six years.  After owning the dance studio Mrs. Lowden became a staff member for Crowd Pleasers Dance Company, and has had the opportunity to travel and judge dance competitions all across Texas.  Mrs. Lowden has been teaching in Hays CISD for the past 10 years.

 

Mrs. Lowden and her husband Coy Lowden have three daughters, Aspen (19) Presley (16) and Peyton (14.) Mrs. Lowden is overjoyed to be serving as Director of the Rosettes, Majestics and Johnson Dance Department for the 5th year!  She is excited to help each student grow as individuals and dancers throughout their high school career.
